Website privacy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This notice explains the personal information used by the main website. Verbatim has a separate product privacy notice.
Article newsletter
When you subscribe, the site records your email address, language, consent time, signup source and subscription status in its content system. Postmark sends the confirmation and article emails and processes email delivery and suppression events. Confirming your address activates delivery; you can unsubscribe from the link in an article email.
Article comments
When you post a comment, your chosen display name, comment text, language and posting time are stored in Directus and appear publicly immediately. Guest names are not verified. Comments may be hidden or removed after publication. The comment form does not ask for an email address. Your IP address is used temporarily in server memory to limit repeated requests and is not saved in the comment record. To request removal, email Abdullah with the article link and the comment details.
Professional recommendations
The recommendation form collects your name, email address, job title, organisation, recommendation and rating for review. A submission is pending until it is reviewed. If approved, your name, job title, organisation, recommendation and rating may be published. The email address remains part of the review submission and is not copied into the public recommendation record.
Contact and booking
The contact form prepares a draft in your own email app; the website does not submit that draft. The contact page loads a calendar from cal.alkulaib.io to show available meeting times. Choosing a time and confirming a booking take place through that booking service.
Preferences in your browser
This website stores your language, theme, selected audience and briefing detail preferences in your browser. During the current browser session, it also remembers the briefing return path so writing pages can take you back to the context you selected. You can remove these preferences by clearing this website's data in your browser.
Site use
Cloudflare delivers and protects this website, and its Web Analytics beacon measures page visits and performance. Google Analytics, when enabled, records page use and selected interactions. The website’s custom interaction events do not include the names, email addresses or message text entered into forms. Your browser also connects to the booking service when you open the contact page.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in an article email. To ask about information you submitted, or to request removal of a published recommendation, contact Abdullah by email.
